As part of the digitalization strategy of our client (turnover > EUR 1 bn.), a new position was to be filled with an executive with long-term strategic planning skills, IT affinity and vigor to establish a new section for products and solutions in IIoT.
The core tasks in this newly-created role were the evaluation of innovative business models and the product business's transformation towards data-driven business models within the context of digital ecosystems. Due to our considerable technical expertise in the area of IIoT and our high proficiency in selecting candidates for key roles, eTec was able to present our client's management with two equally well-suited candidates in the final round.
Eventually, the candidate was chosen who, despite coming from a different product-market combination, was able to convince management with excellent communication, entrepreneurial drive and proven success in a similar mission.
