The French market is one of the markets with the highest potential in Europe for German automation and electrical engineering companies. After having successfully completed its first project in France in 2009, etec Consult has been able to regularly fill top positions there – as we continued to do in 2021.
The first vacancy was for a managing director for a German manufacturer in the field of electromechanics wanting to focus business considerably more on the growth industries in France. An additional goal was to relocate the branch to a new, more conveniently located site. Thanks to focused direct search and the assistance of our eTec network in France, we were able to find an excellent candidate – in his mid-forties, engineering degree, international experience – within three months.
A second search request in France was for a managing director for a manufacturer of automation technology, who was to set the course in the sections factory automation, automotive, and mobile automation towards above-average growth. The selection process narrowed the candidate field down to a manager who had been developing business in France for a German manufacturer for many years. It was this manager's intercultural understanding, many years of experience of working with German headquarters and a thorough knowledge of the relevant target markets that tipped the scales.
