Korea is considered to be one of the most challenging personnel markets besides Japan, in which etec Consult has been successfully active for more than 20 years. For a German medium-sized company with 2000 employees, a managing director was sought who knows how to convince through sales strength, very good experience in sales management as well as a modern leadership approach. Thanks to many years of experience, an excellent informant network and targeted direct search, etec Consult was able to present a very good market overview. The favorite, who was already identified as the desired candidate at an early stage, finally made the race.
In Thailand we were looking for a new managing director for one of the fastest growing German market leaders in the field of inspection systems. The objective: to gain additional market share in Thailand and to drive forward expansion in Southeast Asia (especially into Malaysia and Vietnam). Thanks to a targeted direct search flanked by the good etec network in Southeast Asia, we were able to find a local who has lived in the USA for a long time and can therefore act as a credible mediator between the Western and the special Thai culture. Thailand is thus developing into the most important hub for our industries in the region next to Singapore.
Most recently, etec Consult was again active in the USA, one of the most important markets with numerous projects in the last 5 years. With the "General Manager Sales & Marketing USA" etec was able to fill one of the key positions for the next years for a German machine builder in the Boston area. For the large US subsidiary incl. production with approx. 200 employees, a strong sales manager was sought who brings experience in direct sales as well as in distribution management, which is important for the US market. In the end, we were able to recruit a 44-year-old manager from the extended competition for the task, who we had already introduced personally to the customer at the IMTS trade fair in Chicago.
