Argentina - can the crisis be a chance?
The first mid-sized companies are now recognising the opportunity to reinvest in Argentina, following the withdrawal of many European companies from the market in recent years. This offers opportunities. Furthermore, the Asian competition is not yet as well established as it could be.
We have recently assisted a leading German company with 3000 employees in effectively recruiting an executive in Buenos Aires.
The key to success was being aware of the customer’s distribution channels and business strategy and then to apply this knowledge to an efficient search strategy.
The search was conducted with the support of local managers of leading European companies within our network, with whom we have previously collaborated on search projects. We frequently seek their expertise when undertaking international search projects. In the course of a comprehensive search for suitable managers, we employed our usual pre-selection process, as well as a professional direct approach and close support, in order to be successful. The newly-appointed manager was sourced from a listed German company, speaks excellent English and has already proven that he can achieve growth in a difficult environment. Due to the ongoing, high inflation, the salary is paid in US dollars.
