Business world in the US gets a boost from “Pack Expo” and “FABTECH”

There is a lot of optimism and determination in the market - despite the growth rate at mid-year falling slightly below the rate of increase of 1,5%. The slogan “We try harder” has always been an effective and helpful way of achieving goals.

Gerhard Deiss, founder, and chair of the advisory board at etec Consult, had the opportunity to explore two important exhibitions - the “PACK EXPO” in Las Vegas and the “FABTECH” in Chicago and returned home with plenty of exciting impressions, findings, and many very interesting contacts.

PACK EXPO”, Las Vegas:

The market segments Food and Pharma are currently going through a very dynamic development phase in terms of packaging technology.

Packaging means, control and automatisation technology, robotics and industrial handling including various innovations were showcased. The atmosphere at the stands was great and people were keen to talk and attract new customers.

Our medium-sized businesses from Germany were also well-represented, they complimented the attractiveness of the trade fair and were very pleased with the number of new contacts.

The “FABTECH in CHICAGO”, a show for the mechanical engineering industry including global exhibitors from around the world, offered a similar experience. Japan in particular stood out. The big, successful companies from Germany  such as Trumpf and Siemens could convince, too. China did not attend.

To avoid future dependancies, the US made it clear that parts of this industry needed to return. The aircraft construction, aviation, as well as oil and gas, refinery, high-tech, automation technology and software engineering sectors are driving this dynamic development and, given the current state of affairs, the arms industry has the means to do so.

The German participation seemed to be moderate. Why?

We are very pleased to attend these major exhibitions and extend our network for you!

We are happy to help you to be more present and impactful in the American market.
