Job brief / responsibilities
  • Full profit and loss responsibility for all business in South America incl. direct responsibility for the Brazilian operation with 170 employees and local production
  • Providing positive and dynamic leadership to the management team
  • Developing and implementing the strategy in South America for continued profitable growth and further market penetration
  • Growing market share of current
  • business relations with focus on industrial applications (e.g. machinery, energy) and the process industries
  • Defining mid and long-term business plans for the region
  • Annual budget planning
  • Tight cooperation with and direct reporting to the President Americas in the US as well as to the German HQ
 
Requirements
  • Technical degree or degree in business administration with strong technical knowledge, MBA preferred
  • Sound experience in Managing Director or General Management roles incl. P&L responsibility
  • Extensive leadership experience in an international, industrial company in South America with documented success, ideally in a German or western company
  • Good market knowledge of the Brazilian automation industry
  • Entrepreneurial, result-driven personality with conceptual strength
  • Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills
  • Very good skills in Portuguese and English, Spanish would be a plus
  • Trustworthy person living in close proximity
