Cooperation of etec and Profiles International

Since the summer of 2010, etec has implemented online profiling by our partner "Profiles International". Several renowned etec clients make use of it in their recruitment process and are convinced of its benefits.

The additional personality profile complements the overall impression and provides additional insights useful for the selection process.

ProfileXT

etec applies the „ProfileXT" tool, which focuses on two main aspects: the profile of requirements and the person who is to meet these requirements. The evaluation provides a matching assessment of the personality characteristics to the vacancy's requirements. The online profiling analyses the following areas:

  • cognitive skills - Can he/she do the job?
  • professional interests - Does he/she want to do the job?
  • behavioral characteristics - How will he/she do the job?

This effective and modern management instrument serves to complement the selection process for the "right" candidate for a vacancy.

etec recommends applying this instrument with candidates who have been shortlisted after one or several rounds of interviews. Profiling is an advisable complement to the process; however, it cannot replace the personal impression an HR consultant gains based on their extensive experience, thorough familiarity with the industry and in-depth knowledge. To give an example: Online profiling is not able to measure the required expertise or the distribution experience a candidate is to bring. Rather, "ProfileXT" makes it possible to determine if a candidate brings just the personal characteristics relevant for staffing this particular vacancy.
